Even for a rebuilding team Chicago is just poorly constructed. A lot of terrible contracts on that team. Maroon, Foligno, Hall, f***ing abysmal.

Chicago's sad. They went out and basically gave away DeBrincat, D. Strome, Dach, Hagel, McCabe just get bad enough for a chance at Connor Bedard... and let's just say he probably isn't the next Connor. That's a big part of a rebuild they gave up just to start one.

Myers got more minutes than Timmins tonight, so I guess we can see where this is going

I'll give Myers a pass for the rust and would like to see:
McCabe- Tanev
Rielly- Myers
Benoit - Oel

Oel to play on his off-side but lesser comp should ease his burden

We got outplayed for alot of the game but Stolarz was good.
Minten producing is great to see and his development is a big storyline for this squad.
Thought Dewar had a solid game.
Grebs is surprisingly gritty and loves to crash the net.

It feels like our overall battle level and intensity has increased compared to previous seasons.

Not their best effort, but solid defensively in clogging up the high danger areas, and Stolarz.

It's so refreshing to start a game with confidence in your goalie, regardless of which one is starting. It makes me smile.

Marner with some great PK work tonight.

Minten...if he can manage the schedule...I'm impressed.

Thought Benoit had another solid game, he's a tough SOB.

Not sure bout the Holmberg hate tbh
2 points in last 2 games on that line
15min/game
Blocks shots
takes hit to make plays
Defensively adequate
plays all situations
makes less than a mil

clearly Berube sees something in this guy

He’s a low event player but is smart and plays well away from the puck in his own zone .. he’s very much so a complimentary player though. Nothing too special.

The hockey Gods are really looking out for the Leafs right now.
  • Need a 3C? Boom, Minten.
  • Goaltending issues? Boom, Stolarz/Woll at a bargain.
  • Need a coach? Boom, Berube lands in our lap at the perfect time.
  • Top-pair RD? Boom, Tanev.
  • Bargain #4 defenseman? Boom, OEL.
It’s like everything they needed just fell into place, and now... it's almost like the Leafs don't have any weaknesses at all. Feels too good to be true, but here we are.

I think a lot of the games in December will be as forgettable as this one. It's good to get the points, but I'm not sure anything constructive comes out of these kinds of games. Lots of going through the motions.

Prime guys comment the games as they see it, I am glad I can enjoy hockey with audio and don’t have to put it on mute cause sn is afraid to praise the leafs during the home games. Cuthbert and his buddy would whine about possible Hawks comeback and foligno’s bald leadership for the whole period. Grebs is a keeper, plays with heart!

A bit sloppy defensively, which has been the case for a few games now. Need to clean that up.

Other than that, the Leafs more-or-less took care of business tonight against a bad team. That hasn't always been the case in seasons past.

Grebenkin was being a dick with that late second hit in a 4-1 game... You gotta love it.

Well he's looked better the past few games, the sample size you're using.

He's been awful otherwise. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Saw somebody suggest eariler today that Woll should get a run of a few games.

Stolarz showed tonight why you can't do and shouldn't do that.

Right now you got both guys going, you don't give either guy a run because you don't want the other guy getting cold.

You split the games until one of them slips and right now neither one is slipping.

Man Chicago was amazing tonight.
All these players playing their best game this season
That was the best period of the season.

- Chicago Sports Network after a loss
I mean the entire 2nd period was puck pressure in Leafs zone. They played good enough to win. Also, they have beaten good teams so statement probably not true.
