Seattle is a young fast team that plays on da perimeter.. lots of skill but they have same problem we have had against tougher D -- we can't take da net .. but it was fun last night at Scotia up in top deck (dead down low) .. Woll and our collective D played solid .. but hats off to Patch .. I have to say I was not a fan of this signing but if he continues to play tough on puck like last night he stays up in my top 6 all day every day and twice on Sundays .. Patch is creating some many opportunities all over da ice .. it is letting Willy free wheel (although a couple times I heard Berube from my row 1 seats on bench -- man is he loud) .. his message was fine but I don't like his method of screaming .. it likely gets tuned out my youngins

Seattle kind of reminds me of a low end version of the general build of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes over the past decade. Skilled, speedy up front and a redwood forest on the back end. I can see what Ron Francis is trying to do but obviously it’s early days in their development as a franchise.

Good win, Line 2 worked like a page out of old school hockey textbook. Perhaps some chemistry...

Woll looked sharp and focused, my second time screening the game I watched him a fair bit, seems like a true pro, so poised and steady.

I've been a Leaf fan for many years, even saw the '67 win on black and white TV. I honestly think the GDT is becoming with all the unnecessary Marner bashing going on, just terrible. What is the point of all that?
Marner has been playing real well in all facets of the game. Loved the effort on that sliding block. That pass to Knies was sublime. Nothing to complain about. If he plays great, he'll get paid...win, win for him and the organization.

Not if he’s trying to take us to the cleaners

This is Canada. Where Don Cherry was once practically an idol and national icon and his Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Hockey series was one of the most bought (and played, and played while drunk) VCR tapes in Canadian history.

I see no problem with that.

He has but what’s the rush to sign him until after the playoffs ? Hopefully they go on a run this season but if they flame out in the first round again, do you really want to run it back again for the 9th time with four players making over $45M ? That doesn’t even include Tavares and whatever they decide to do with him.
