“Stutzle plus $4m is better than Matthews” (obviously the team with Matthews is doing pretty well and Stutzle plus $4m isn’t helping his team)

What to complain about tonight?

Our Leafs powerplay was pretty bad tonight.

With at least one goal on the first 4 powerplays, our Leafs take this game more easily.

Too much passing and attempts to make the cute and pretty play. Our Leafs need to shoot more and go to the net for the greasy tap ins on rebounds. They need to be told that they have the player count advantage when the other team has a player in the penalty box. Shoot on net and CRASH the net FFS.

Oh, and, did McCabe touch the puck after his big hit on Evangelista? If not, then there should have been an interference penalty on the Pred player that hit him afterwards. Also, where was the instigator penalty on the Pred that decided to fight McCabe?

Refs also missed an obvious trip by the Preds in the 1st period.

That was the best game they've played all year and it's not even close.

Whatever they did today before the game. Bottle it and do it for every single game for the rest of the year

Apparently things have boiled over a bit the last few practices. Probably a good thing.

I have watched this team for 20+ years, I can't think of a single big save Samsonov had to make, that was as close to a perfect game, as you ever see, and honestly is probably among the top 10 defensive efforts in the last 20+ years.

One of the most complete games for us that I can remember, right from the start.

Happy for Samsonov. This team is better when he’s doing well.

Happy for Kampf, and enjoying what I’ve seen from Benoit. I was happy with his signing and he’s looking really good. Hoping Timmins can continue to stay healthy and get better. They could be a very good 3rd pairing for us.

McCabe, wow. He’s on my team any day of the week.

Still don’t think Keefe is giving Robertson and the 3rd line nearly enough time but the 4th line looked very good tonight.

Nice win, and on to the next one.

PS: ROR- too bad, so sad. Enjoy your nothing-burger in Nashville.
