Post-Game Talk: Leafs win 3-1 against the Canes

Leafs playing rope-a-dope for the road win. I guess when you’re getting good goaltending and have the star talent to take advantage of opportunistic scoring it’s a good formula for winning against top teams.

Should go watch the condense game without fear!

Only caught parts of the game myself cause of the scheduling, but with B2B being what it was, the opposition and our goalie situation, anything was gravy. Surprised they walked away with a regulation win no less.

We’d be first in the division if we didn’t get swept by 3 abysmal teams in California

Hopefully thats what kick-started them a bit. No question the energy level has risen since then.

That description of Nylanders goal doesn't do it justice. At the redine Nylander pushes the puck past the defender, he realizes he can't beat him so he let's off and coast to the puck in typical Nylander fashion. The puck skips on the Canes defender and Nylander sort of half-ass ties him up, kicking the puck above the hashmarks, the puck slowly slides between Andersens legs and into the net.

Honestly you could probably challenge that goal and have it called back.

Nylander tipped it with his stick through the 5-hole.

It was not about good goaltending but last 2 game leafs was just a total effort and solid defensive game by protecting pretty well samsonov and kallgren...

Kallgren didn't had to make huge save or steal the game, he had to make basic save and keep it simple
