Just awesome. This team is legit and definitely has to be considered a contender playing like they have been.

I cant remember if they scored on a PP tonite or if it was all 5 on 5 but I did see some bits of the PP where Matthews would have destroyed them if he was playing and shooting like he can. I reckon they got off easy on the scoreboard without him playing.
Stoked for Hutch. That dressing room will be a happy one for sure. I watched Brodie the most. Geez that guy is good. What a friggen signing. He is fast becoming a favorite of mine.

Great team and great team effort.
I dont really care what happens next game but I have a gut feeling they will sweep this little series.
Please start scoring Soup. I know you will and no one deserves it more.

Also I know St Thomas well
I lived briefly in London
Great town

Cool man! I am not born and raised from here... but I have lived here long enough to know the history... down from my great grandfather being chief of police here, to my great uncle being a steam engine operator... this old town has a lot of history indeed!... PS I totally agree with you on your other comments, Ballard... smh, may he rot in pieces!

Four of my favourite people in Leaf history.
Yep for sure ... unforgivable !
We had such great possibilities with some of those teams
Man oh man Sittler doesn’t get enough credit , his 10 point game and 5 goal game in the playoffs overshadow how great he was as a scorer and play maker and leader and fighter and gutsy player that played with honor
He is truly # 3 on my list but could Easily be # 1
He did it all and against those flyers and against the Atlanta flames and with Salming
Man I miss that player
Complete player not like today’s no matter what

Can’t argue with that at all
Barilko was going to be a beauty as well and also Loved the history of Red Horner ( even before my time lol ) but we’ve always been known more for our Defense in our history
The gold dust twins Even old king Clancy and on and on Turnbull was awesome but we have a good crew now
I was just saying that our 93 d core was similar to the one we have now I’d say

yeah there are some similarities in the overall qualities of the different guys but I'd give the edge to the 93 crew, although it could be just the way the game was played back then

Reilly and Gill are very close in overall skill although Morgan is a better skater, Todd was no slouch mind you

TJ and Macoun play the game in the same manner really solid on the defensive aspects

Muzzin and Ellet both tough customers although Ellet played with a little more finesse

Holl and Lefebvre both defense first types, both of them had good shots, both very strong and able to limit their mistakes

Dermott and Mironov some offensive flair with Travis but Mironov was a half step ahead with his offense

Bogosian and Rouse rough and tumble types both can contribute a little offensively, both guys provide leadership

lmao Oilers. back to back shutouts, no Matthews. Capmbell in game 1, HUTCHINSON with a shutout in game 2

The end game toughness is so lame, Archibal starts fighting before Dermott drops them. Bogo drops them and Nurse, as Oilers fans like to say, "bitched out" That was the definition of bitching out, if you're going to act tough and push the goalie be ready to drop the gloves.

Anyone have a link to when Gord Miller called the Oilers a below average team ?

Something like how they are bad defensively and a myth or something.

It was during our first series with Oilers I believe.

Absolutely
Macoun was one of the nastiest dirtiest players ever with his stick , No remorse , loved him and Rousey
We would have won it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids lol
Dammmmn you 99

Everytime someone is within 6 points of us in the Standings and we have head to head coming up all we hear is oh X team is the best in the division and if they sweep Toronto they'll pass them. Didn't work out so well with the Habs.

I just have 2 questions. When is Edmonton going to fire their coach and how long until we play Winnipeg so we go through it all for a 3rd time?
