Robertson is a nightmare out there. Small and slow out there, getting overpowered and at max work capacity just to make routine things happen. He doesn’t have a spot.

Special mention for the incredible first games for Minten and Grebenkin. They are NHL players who should be given a long leash before they go back down.

The team is playing Berube hockey.

Btw, the Leafs have not had a defenceman like Tanev in the Matthews era. So poised. So cool. So efficient. A beast.

Imagine if we could've gotten him last year. Brad tried, but Calgary were going to make the Leafs pay waaaaaay too much.

Grebs much more talented, but more raw than Minten.

Grebs looks like he could generate offense, while Minten, more a shooter, needs a playmaker.

Grebs was also all over the ice; Minten very sound positionally and defensively.

He assembled a traditional hockey team and got an experienced coach, who coaches traditional hockey... Go figure how that works.

While only one game, the one thing I noticed about Minten is that he comes as advertised. Man, that kid is one smart/mature player. His head is on a swivel. Always looking around to see what is developing and where his responsibilities lie, and as such he was almost always in the right position on the ice and making efficient plays. I dunno, may be hard to take out when all are healthy.
