I've been watching Toronto for 40 years.
Referees do not call games unfavorably against Toronto, on the whole.

I will reiterate what I said earlier. It is very tough to find anything wrong with that game.

They were physical, they never tried to play down to the Ducks. Good effort both enss of the rink.

The Carolina game was overall a good effort so that is 3 in a row.

Nice to see a game where the Leafs dominate their opponents, that the refs actually let the penalties reflect that.

Good win especially considering their goaltenders performance.

These last two games the team has showed up ready to play high intensity playoff style hockey.

If we started bringing this work ethic and intensity for 60 minutes consistently, we'd be a very hard team to beat.

Both Marner and Matthews were stellar defensively.

I wish McMann had a chance to finish that game. Terrible call.

Also, props to Holmberg. Significant upgrade on Robertson imo, just in the sense of making hard plays and not turning the puck over in bad spots.

Benoit is good. For a guy that contributes zero offensively I like him. Better than the duds who contribute nothing defensively.

He's actually making some decent passes in the o zone now. I know it's a stretch, but he could be a borderline 4, he's only 25 and he has great hockey sense. If Brodie can be a top 4 with his offensive prowess, why not.

We showed up, played a full 60 minutes and never dropped our heads even when the puck just wouldn't go in

Also congrats to that Anaheim goaltender, that was an all world effort his team should have lost by about 5 goals

Yep that was a silky sweet pass. A half second delay to get the opposition think he's going to shoot (and to give Matthews' time to move over) and slides it in the perfect spot for a shot

I agree, I can't see a single person to criticize, even McCabe who caused the 1st goal.

Marner has deserved criticism at times for his play this year, this is not one of those times
