Wings won't have Bertuzzi in the lineup. That's a problem for them.

Problem for the leafs that is. Pens were missing all their stars and destroyed the leafs

The pitiful Hawks were missing kane and leafs fought tooth and nail to to squeak out a win

Detroit looks like a different team than the last couple years so far this season though. Not a playoff team or anything but actually have some talent and hungry, young players in the line up. Added a completely new top pair in the offseason+ Raymond looks legit up front.

Detroit should be easy friend, should be anyways.

Enjoy the atmosphere. Don't know where your seats are but I've been from 300-100 and a box and I have felt in the action every place I was.

Have a good time my dude or dudette.

First game was a thumping of the sens, Orr got Carkner stretchered off and the fans were so happy they did the wave after i think 5-0?

Anyways. Just have a good time. Bring lots of money for beers. Again. LOTS OF MONEY...

No, i don't think you heard me correctly, like, all, all of the money.

Have a good one.

They just beat Washington yesterday and handily beat I say handily Chicago the game before. I wouldn't say it should be easy and with this team nothing ever is.

We certainly SHOULD win:
  • Arguably their top player, anti-vaxxer Bertuzzi, won’t be playing as he can’t enter Canada
  • They’re on the 2nd night of a B2B, we’ll be well rested with 2 nights off
  • On paper, we’re the better team
However … I dunno, we don’t look like the same team this year. I’m not confident against any opponent. Honestly, I expect a loss.

I think once the lines are put in stone, and the chemistry is there... things will be ok.. they DO NOT have chemistry right now... all over the place 'thanks Keefe' but lets see what tomorrow brings, because up until now... they have looked shaky as fuk.

What?
We were promised that the only team in the Leafs division to worry about was Tampa and even they wouldn’t be that good any more.

I remember about 4 weeks ago we were told by some on this site that teams like the wings and the panthers were crap and would be at the bottom of the division…….that they weren’t competition for us. I guess we were told wrong

Guess Coach F-bomb prefers an injured Muzzin to Dermott - Holl & Sandin - Liljegren ?

what is with the obsession with Keefe's language, these are all adults who gives a flying monkey if he drops the F-bomb a ton, i could care less about his language as long as the team is producing (even if they aren't) swearing has never been a big deal...most of these guys aren't exactly Harvard educated...good gosh

It's not a matter of it being offensive and it's certainly common in dressing rooms. However, the almost comical overuse of it is indicative of poor communication skills.

Poor communication skills are not a typically something you look for in a good head coach.

Perhaps an ESL course could come in handy?

I was in favor of Keefe shaking up the lines, but they have not been effective overall.

The 3rd and 4th lines seemed to be more effective prior to the changes.

Maybe try something like this for a few games:

Ritchie-Matthews-Nylander
Bunting-Tavares-Marner
Kerfoot-Kampf-Kase
Engvall-Spezza-Simmonds

Defense at practice:

Rielly-Dermott
Muzzin-Brodie
Sandin-Liljegren

Looks like no Holl (woooo) and our best defenseman this season (Dermott) is going to finally play some serious minutes.

Are we sure that Holl isn't on a maintenance day and one of Dermott/Sandin/Lilly are just filling in for now?

I think Holl and Muzzin will both get it together, but splitting them up and sitting one of them for Lilly is definitely the right move at the moment.
