I think it had more to do with none of them on PP2 is trying to make play by themself. They are passing and shooting when there is a shot. While PP1 is too focus on giving Marner the puck to make plays and AM for the shot.

One really positive thing tonight is how snappy our D have been transitioning the puck. They just look to have a lot of confidence. Lilly looks much more confident that I remember seeing him at any point in past call-ups.

Bunting needs to be bumper on PP1

They need to mix and match the PP1 and PP2 personnel. Bunting seems to have high end skills which are on display on some rushes. There might be a lot of untapped player there.
