I see us putting up a normal amount of xG and our top-6 is playing well as usual. I think your eyes are being fooled by random physicality and the bottom-6 is doing nothing.

Just like eyes may not tell the full picture neither do advanced stats.. here’s a stat - 2-1 Rangers and outscoring the leafs 2-0 that period. Leafs have a tendency to make bad errors at bad times, even if the advanced stats say they’ve played well ‘overall’. It’s a good reason why they have yet to win a round in the playoffs 6 straight years.

They had literally one bad shift based on my eyes. It's cute though that you think a random game in January where they're playing well overall despite a luck GA and a very bad GA will impact playoffs. Why be a Leaf fan if you're going to have that negative attitude?

The team has improved from last season and is playing well with potential for a major upgrade at the TDL. It’s only also 2-1 in a Wednesday night game against the rangers so not the end of the world.

They didn't happen with this level of regularity under Babcock. Seems like it's 1 every two weeks now.
