Yes the complex is real. They figured they'd drop 10 mil on a few ex-Leafs in Hyman and Barrie, but apparently the rot runs so deep even that infusion isn't helping

The Oil have pride, they're going to show their best shit. The "is there anything better than beating the Leafs?" narrative exists in every game we play. Not sure why people want to consider this an auto win. I've seen worse lineups take our team to the cleaners before.

They also still have Drai who any given day can be the best player in the world.
He is reminding me more and more of vintage Malkin, where people looked at Sid being out and forgot they were a legit 2 headed monster.

And they can still have RNH as the 2C. Drai-RNH as your top 2 is better than a good chunk of the league.

They have Ceci and Barrie on D (nuff said), a washed up Duncan Keith and a very green (but potentially very good) Bouchard.

Our D was just as bad until we got Muzzin and Brodie, two vets who know how to play D.

I don't feel sorry for Oiler fans as generally they are very obnoxious towards Leaf fans, and usually they're happy so long as you don't compare anyone to McDavid or Draisaitl, but missing the playoffs this year would be a complete disaster for them

That Pens team was missing Crosby, Letang, Malkin, Rust, etc. A true trap game.

This Oilers team is missing....effectively one player of note.

Not to mention the Pens historically give the Leafs a hard time, while the Leafs manhandle the Oilers on the regular.
