Just look what Rantaa did yesterday. Stole a point for his team. Here we have Freddy who isn't even doing the bare minimum required for a goalie, and Freddy's team played much better defensively in front of him.

I think part of it also has to do with his play style, sort of like how bigger skaters are called lazy. He needs to be in the proper position to maximize his size and reflexes but there are instances where he’s caught cheating to one side or too deep in the net anticipating a cross ice play. That’s why it’s harder to gauge a goalie’s performance, especially one that needs to also conserve stamina and seems to have chronic issues with his lower body. Just need to see some confidence and will be good... but seeing as the playoffs don’t care about a goalie needing to regain his confidence, it kind of highlights just how easily he can become the team’s weak spot

Wow I guess Leafs fans are a lot higher on Freddy than me. Hutchinson was thrown in to the worst possible situation last year by Babcock. I thought he’s looked pretty solid this year.
