GDT: Leafs vs Habs pre-season game #4

Minten can't be called up unless it's an emergency or his WHL team season is over.

There are but Anderson Hasn't played 82 since he was in Columbus. Topped out at 69 with us last 2 years. I like him as a player with that size and speed but not always consistent.

Edit: and let's be honest I may have lost interest in the last couple of seasons before we got to the 82 game mark. too

If the unlikely event occurs that he makes the team, those are the type of players he'll be playing with.

Interestingly Timmims is on the 1st PP with Liljegren after being seperated last game. Thats potentially somethimg you'll see in the seaon on the 2nd PP depending on Klingberg.

Can't imagine being a skill guy playing with Reaves and Kampf. But I think you are right. It may be his only shot. As much as I want Robertson to make the team, he is likely far better off playing with the Marlies for 4 months will replacing an underperformer later on in the season.

I actually prefer pre-season games with rosters full of prospects, try-out players, those fighting for the precious few roster spots.

Gives us a chance to see some of the future while not subjecting us to watching the stars treating the game like a leisure skate.
 
Couple things from Keefe's presser today. Said there won't be as much opportunity for players next week. Some guys will play both games today and tomorrow, and bubble guys will play a lot. Top players won't play either game. Not exactly that but thats kind of what Keefe mentioned. Said they are putting Robertson in different roles.

Was asked about Liljegren wearing a letter. "We are looking to count on him. He's earned it. He's climbed his way through, and at times has been adversity, but he's dealt with it very well, and he's off to a terrific start. I thought he was outstanding the other night in St. Thomas. I've talked to his teammates that are part of leadership group too, they want to see him step up and take a greater role, and be that next young guy coming in to help and have a voice in the leadership too. I think all that is symbolic of what we expect from him and what we think of him".
 
Doubt it happens in preseason but I would love Reaves to humble however u spell his name tonight. Only reason I’ll be watching
 
I have Sportsnet subscription but the game is blocked out due to regional restrictions. Gotta love that! If anybody kind enough to pm a stream that would rule. Thank you.
