Top 15 is not elite, and he only started regaining form this year. The past two years before this one, he was one of the worst starters in the league.

Also 15th is literally average as a starter. Being an average starter in the NHL is still impressive, but it is far from elite. He hasn't been elite for a number of years.

He's been injured and Anaheim was a bad team the last two years.

I mean ideally, pretty sick to have the depth to mix and match lines as needed and everyone is used to those roles and can flawlessly switch in and out, changing roles shift to shift.
