I’m not going to be hard on Campbell he’s been playing lights out this year. It’s a bad game and a bad stretch for the team.

As long as we have shanny/dubas running things none of the core is getting moved out. they are committed to this core come what may....

Matthews and Marner contract especially Marner's contract has really handcuffed the team we cannot add quality support pieces because we got no cap room.

playoffs is a different beast; regular season antics don't work in playoffs...

Tavares contract has not helped this team either.
We see this so many times in the past. The minute the games get more serious and the other teams play them tough they collapse.
Things will have to change before this gets any better

That’s debatable but he has been injured so much this year he has been unavailable and I’m betting now that Boston is nipping at our heels Keefe will be afraid to play him

Mrazek’s game is crazy and he wasn’t tested too much but he basically misplayed one cross crease pass. Soup’s been a monster this year for us but this road trip has been a disaster for him.

Its a bad mix. Leafs defensively have been miserable and Campbell has been unable to bail them out on anything.

Leafs identity was becoming defensive minded. Of late they have forgotten what it takes, especially down low and if in the crease.

I always have this theory that playing Edmonton seems to make Toronto worse. They absolutely dominated them last year and then laid a pair of eggs vs Vancouver. Come back from the holiday pause, beat the Oilers and then things just get sloppy.
