Campbell probably should’ve had the second one maybe the fourth one too

muzzin needs to be bought out he’s so ass.

They keep going back to Campbell because Mrazek is playing like Raycroft and Toskala combined in one. Campbell has been playing way over his ability to sustain, no goaltender can have a save percentage above .940 the entire season, it’s just not happening. It’s kind of good that he’s being brought back to reality, tired of the media talking about how he’s a favourite for the Vezina. Ridiculous to talk about this early in the season.

Media loves trying to drive up the price of RFAs and UFAs. Did it with Nylander, Matthews, Marner, Hyman, tried with Rielly and now Campbell.

Nylander has been excellent. Not sure what you mean by saying he's not committed to winning, but it was pretty stupid
I’m not talking about Nylander. I’m talking about other guys. The ones who combined for 1 goal in 7 games last year. But it’s logical to think that if Dubas has promised Nylander that he wouldn’t be traded, he has also promised the big dogs

I actually think the Leafs aren't playing that bad. They're controlling most of the play.

Some of the blues goals haven't been that good. Some puck luck forsure. Refs suck like most of the time.

Leafs get this in the 3rd. Top corner over the glove boys.

I’m not really worried about Campbell giving up so many goals, the averages are always going to catch up to any goaltender, even Vasilevskiy can’t keep up .940 plus save percentage all season. At least he’s been better than our other goaltender who has been ass in the 4 or 5 games that he has played so far. I don’t blame it on injuries, he sucked before that.

When the Leafs start doing that, the refs will pull out the whistles.

Only because it's so different than the way they usually play. Refs are humans, they're no robots. They get a feel for how a team plays and they tend to let the greasy, obstructive teams play that way because if they didn't, they'd be short handed the entire game.

Any team with Craig Berube and Steve Ott on the bench is going to play like bags of shit. The problem is that the refs know that, and are going to give them the benefit of the doubt a lot of times.

That's Steve Not.

If we lose this game, i don’t even know what to say

muzzin gotta do something well. He can’t play offence, he can’t play defence. He can’t pk, he can’t pp. this guys looking so washed

how does he go from looking like a #1-2 for the last three years to a bottom pairing defencemen all of a sudden
Can happen quickly with some players.

If they see a penalty, they must call it. It's that simple. There should be no "feeling".

Mrazek is a streaky goalie, always has been. Kind of tough to judge him on the few games he's played this season when hes always injured.

Agree. A flukey goal, missed call, and some awful shifts by the 4th line

Keep pressing and it's a win

That's how robots work. Not how humans work. Especially if they've been told by the league to manage the game, which I have very little doubt is 100% true.

There are teams in this league that would take 12-15 penalties every game if you called the game as the rule book prescribes. No chance they'll call that many penalties.

I agree.

The Blues are definitely the more physical bunch though and that's what's costing us right now. Even more than defense, I'd like a PF who can assert himself on another team, like Josh Anderson did against us in the first game of last year's playoffs.

The Bruins were absolute experts of this. I was jealous of that team and style of play.

The refs won't call everything, so keep doing it over and over and when you're down 3 penalties to 0, you know you're good for the next 2. That's when you do your damage.

How is it robotic to do your job? I'm not saying they must catch ALL penalties. That's robotic.

But if they see one, they should call it.

If the refs are told to game manage, then that's a problem.
