Last year Kessel, JVR, Lupul, Kadri, Phaneuf, Gardiner (playoffs) all stepped up and took over games at times... So far this year only Kessel + JVR have done this, possibly Phaneuf.... Lupul or Kadri, they've looked good, but if there was ever a time to go beast mode it would be now

Last year was an anomaly. 48 games. No Detroit, no Columbus. Philly,Rangers,Tampa all sucked. The Isles surged as well. Certain players played over their heads. Many teams played 4 games in 5 nights. No West travel. The perfect storm. Look at this team now, and over the last 5 years. Not even close. Look at the core of teams that consistently make the playoffs. Now compare them to ours.
