I feel like Splitting Matthews, Marner & Nylander into 3 different lines is something the leafs should seriously consider, it would pose matchup nightmares for opposing teams. Something potentially like below:

Bunting-Matthews-Kase
Kerfoot-Tavares-Nylander
Mikey-Kamph-Marner
Engvall-Spezza-Simmonds

Before the season, I wanted Nylander to carry his own line (play with Kerfoot) because it would've caused matchup issues for the opposition. He would've easily feasted on lesser competition

I think Marner on the 3rd line would work. At least, we should be giving it a shot and let Matthews carry his own line

What's the more difficult contract to figure out the price on: Kadri or Campbell?

In my estimation, Campbell. Kadri has a longer track record and has one long term contract already that cracked $4M so there is at least some baseline even if he outplayed his contract.

The Campbell negotiation is going to be interesting especially if he remains this solid throughout a deep playoff run.

If he does, Leafs are going to be moving a body or two to find the room, or, he seek plan B.

Kadri will get a raise, somewhere. Probably not as big a contract as some might expect though.
