Don't want to naysay Shane Wright too much, but you can see the Canadian media working overtime to preserve his frontrunner status in the draft even if his junior progress isn't what we thought it would be. It's quite something to go from a Nathan Mackinnon style franchise center to a Patrice Bergeron style player as Craig Button suggests. Reminds me a bit of the Lafreniere storyline.

The big issue is no one is seriously challenging him. No one is really having a season worthy of going 1OA.
