Contract kicks in July 1 2025The Saviour is signed!
*checks the AAV..... Uh.... for 39 NHL games?!
This will end up being an absurdly good deal for the Leafs.Seems a bit rich for 39 NHL games and injury prone. Would have preferred to see how he did this year. But could pay off if he stays healthy. Good thing there is no Leafs curse or anything... right?
That's true. It is an extension. Good point.Contract kicks in July 1 2025
Double-edged sword. If he stays healthy this year and plays up to his potential he'd get more than this.Seems a bit rich and premature for 39 NHL games and injury prone. Would have preferred to see how he did this year. But could pay off if he stays healthy.
Seems like a bit of a rushed move.Double-edged sword. If he stays healthy this year and plays up to his potential he'd get more than this.

The term and AAV are not horrible, but he hasn't played all that much.
If he has a bad year, then what?
I'm hoping more for 3.5M, which would be a steal if he can stay healthy. That's close to high-end backup money.
Coin wont be until start of next season, which by the might look like a stealThis would suggest we're going pretty cheap on a goalie this year if we're putting that kinda coin into Woll
Overall a weird interaction. Why break this 7 days before you can make it official and why pay him that much. Would the number have been that much higher if he played 30-35 games next year?
This will end up being an absurdly good deal for the Leafs.
If he’s injured then it doesn’t count against the cap anywayI would have liked to see him play next season before doing this.
Woll is good but an injury prone RFA doesn't need this type of rushed deal.
