Who's that Finnish guy that got drafted by and played for Winnipeg? And then got tossed over to Columbus? You know. The guy that was supposed to be better than Matthews? I honestly forget his name. Is he still playing?

Which guy are you talking about? :sarcasm::laugh:

Woof, that is huge, some times, too huge for certain people, I have always liked laine, a lot actually, he strikes me as a superstar but..... wow, that is horrible news

Yes, he died just over a week ago, from an illness. Apparantly they were really tight, and his Dad would go to games and bring deserts for the team, it's clear that loss is haunting him.

Just post their Goals and Assists bc those are stats that influence the most important stats in Sports——Wins. Lol.

While goals are nice, goal differential is even more important IMO and has a much bigger influence on wins. Don't forget about the D.

Damn, I wasn't back yet and my seats were perfect for seeing this goal live. The first two were at the opposite end and not a great view from my seats. I had a beautiful view of the Nylander to Kerfoot to Nylander love goal and Simmers, so great consolation prizes.

Seeing the game live, I thought both Clifford and Simmer had really good games. Clifford looked better to me than his last go-around with the Leafs. Rather have Kase than Clifford, but I think he adds great depth.

Best part of the game was seeing Campbell live. He is unreal. He is so good positionally and on rebounds. Just makes incredible saves. I loved Campbell before this, but now seeing him live I appreciate him even more.

Dubas, sign Campbell already.

That is unfathomable news...

Always liked Laine, hope he can deal with this, I never got over my dad dying...

Just never did... He was too important...

hope laine can cope with it...

When you have a great father, and he goes, lot goes with him, shit, I wanted to go with him..

It sucks losing a great.

Sorry if it seems shallow, but having a team led by JACK.. has really helped me...

I can't believe our team is playing this well, feels like a dream lol. Soupy showing he's one of the absolute best. Nylander/Marner were great again tonight, that bunting goal was gorgeous.

And adding mikheyev to the line up is only going to make us faster and better. I think we’ve got a solid combination up front. We need one more vet defenseman just for depth and I think we are poised for a good run this year.

We have a barn burner, huge talent, playing for the Marlies.

Could fit right in, any time...

Add Evander, to any of our mixes....

CYA at the parade..

Don Cherry is on record as saying josh, was a better talent than MCmucho...

That guy is drooling, and so am I.....

Enjoying the ride....

Josh will be up..... Book it.,

I'm sorry to hear about your dad passing away, that's gotta be tough man! As for Laine, the guys heads not in the game and rightfully so, it does a number on a person! Matt Murray was never the same guy after he lost his father, and Kulemin went off the rails when his best buddy died in that Russian plane crash.

A brain fart for Campbell; otherwise, it's another round of "does it reflect the reality, yet?".

I dunno if it is just me 'highly unlikely' but I very much ENJOY!!!! watching the habs games on the off days that our boys are not playing... my gosh... I think I even ... no.. I can't say that hahaahahaha!
But hey... the scabs face the nucks on monday... losing 9 of their last 10 games... I am going to LMFAO if they beat the habs haahahahahahaaaaaa!
GO LEAFS GO BABY!

The divisional playoff formats are so unfair. There needs to be a better way to do it, do it 1-8 like the NBA.

The Pacific division has 2 expansion teams, Vancouver, 3 California teams and then Calgary/Edmonton. Luckily Vegas ended up being decent, otherwise that's a cakewalk division to a playoff spot/third round. Easiest division in the NHL, hence why an expansion team can win it every year.

Meanwhile, the Leafs are probably playing Florida/Tampa in the first round, or maybe Boston even with a strong regular season. The Leafs best bet is to win the division, so they can avoid the defending champs getting Kucherov back - but that's not an easy task in the Atlantic.

The East Divisions are 10X stronger than the West divisions. That's why I can't take any West teams seriously until they show success against stronger Eastern teams. Like Montreal went 8-2 against the West in the playoffs like year. The Leafs beat them more times without Tavares than the West did combined in the playoffs.

I think we need to win the division or we're most likely playing Tampa in the first round. Florida seems to be really good too, and Boston hasn't been their dominant self but they're still playing .600 hockey.
