Helly plays half decent and this is a different game , STOP playing the puck Helly you can't do it , jesus he's bad at that and i really think that first goal rattled him . Good effort by the Jets , what are you gonna do , Anderson played better than Helly , alot better .

Two evenly matched teams, one got good goaltending and the other got awful goaltending.
Helle was awful enough said. Brossoit played well.
Our AHL dmen got exposed tonight. Dal, Bietto and Sbisa were all awful.
Pionk and Morrissey played well against their top players. Both beat there matchups in terms of Corsi and Xgoals. If there is one positive it seems like Morrissey is finally starting to round into form. His dgame seems to be back for the most part and tonight he started to flash his offensive smarts. He had an over 70% shot share tonight playing against a darn good player in Mathews.
Poolman had some good and bad plays tonight. If only he could handle the puck and make plays under pressure he would be a solid top 4 dmen.
Top line was terrific for most of the night, unfortunately they didn't have much help. All were terrific.
Second line was MIA. Wheeler and Ehlers couldn't get much going offensively. Roslovic was making some really strange plays with the puck.
Lowry has been incredibly ineffective with Bourque on his line. I am both shocked and happy that Moe demoted Bourque, he was awful and just can't make plays with speed out there. I am happy Harkins got a promotion as he has played well and continues to make things happen. Good pressure on the forecheck and he shows he can handle the puck and make plays with it.
Shore/Perrault/Appelton were solid.
Maurice: I have really no idea what he is thinking with his PK, both in terms of structure and personnel. Honestly it seems like he has regressed to using big dmen that can only clear the crease. We are horribly passive, don't react quick enough and don't have our sticks in the lains. More over how the heck is JoMo getting the shaft for special teams this year. Our PK is crap and our best dmen gets very limited minutes there, makes no sense unless he is hurt.
Left Helle in far too long tonight.
Also needs to have the balls to play Niku in the lineup as we need puck moving over braun imo.

Helly was average against the Avs. Made some big saves but Grubauer was a sieve.
Welp! On to the team we beat 6-0 in their house. What could go wrong?

I guess Im listening to Maurice and hes just.. I dunno, i think.. Losers of 6 of last 8, just.. Not good. Jets despite the shots, never were in it tho.. A 1 line team right now...

I'm not clear on what our PK had to do with tonight's loss but over all, yes, it has been bad. The PP goal scored went through Helle and from that spot, he should be all over those shots.
Personally, I'd leave Mo out of tonight's PG comments - this game was lost on goaltending and missed opportunities.

Can't use karma with the Leafs. The hate is just too strong. I just comfort myself with the satisfaction I will feel after they get their annual First round spanking at the hands of the Bruins.

If anyone thinks the Leafs were better tonight their absolutely crazy , the Jets win with a half decent Helly tonight or at least it's a OT game . Anderson stole this game , what are you gonna do , it happens .Talking in general about the PK. Its dead last in the league and a major factor in game outcomes.

This is on Hellebuyck (obviously), but Maurice almost as much. Helle should have been pulled after two goals (AND two posts). I honestly can’t believe he left him in. I’m furious.

Not often do you pull a goalie after 2 goals though I agree Maurice waited too long.
Hellebuyck and the three awful D were the difference. Sbisa was horrendous. He can't handle even the most simple plays with the puck in his own zone. Bitetto and Dahlstrom are just a bad pair.
The Jets top line was fantastic. Wasn't crazy about the game by Wheeler's line. I have no idea why Maurice can't figure out that Lowry needs to play with speedy wingers. Bourque is absolutely a terrible choice for his wing. Just dumb coaching to keep playing him there until Bourque finally made Maurice snap with an absolutely brutal shift in his own zone.

Did you watch the same game tonight as i did ? The Jets played good , if Anderson doesn't stand on his head and Helly plays like he can , we probably win .
