Dude is a double edeged sword. Liked him for the Minnesota Wild back half of the year but for every good offensive play he makes he will make 3 or 4 defensive lapses. IF and that is a big if you can reign him in a little he could be ok, but at this point he kind of is what he is.
Literally Jake Gardiner

Klingberg is not comparable to Gustavsson gimme a break. He plays a lot of minutes and he's a RHD. He's not ideal, he's a bit soft, and more of a minutes eater who I would have expected to sign with a bottom feeder.

Klingberg can move the puck and play with pace too. People shouldn't be looking at this Ducks stats; Ducks were hot garbage last couple seasons.

He played fine for the Wild. Its just a one year deal too. I find it hilarious people here are acting like its the end of the world

My only concern is Keefe screwing Lily again in favor of Brodie and Klingberg on RD

We cant have every D be a heavy and gritty defensive D

Rielly/klinberg are mostly OFD though rielly isnt as bad defensively as K-berg

Lilijgren and Brodie are somewhat transitioning and good defenders

McCabe has physcality and we need to add 1 more D that brings this

I think we bring in Zadorov which is a bit meh. Ideally add Oleksiak there as he has size and some physicality

This team hasn’t had a shot from the point in 5-6 years. Maybe longer. Maybe since phaneuf.

This team needs a shot from the point. At least we can check that box now

Odd that we had a very similar player in Gustavsson who they chose to just let rot in the pressbox for the most part.
I can make any sense as to what this team is trying to do beyond just rinse and repeat.

This signing gonna end up the best signing in the league!!! He's gonna have a huge bounce back year in a team with offensive guns! Than we all gonna fall in love and look at this thread and see how pathetic some of you leaf fans truly are. It's a 1 year deal on a guy who can legit put up amazing offensive numbers.

No real enforcer so dealt with that quickly with Reaves. Everyone mad.

Zero, literal zero transition from defence unless Rielly was on. We sign a defenceman pretty elite in transition. Everyone mad.

You guys are having personal crisis. The team is(will be) fine.

I’d like to welcome Tyson to the organization, Barrie brings a unique skill set to the group and we’re glad to have him.

Absolute garbage move. I have no idea what treliving is thinking. This guy is so cooked and everybody knows it, I have no idea who we would have even been bidding against at this price. He's the worst defensive defenseman in the league. Didn't we already know who our top six defenseman were? Who's losing playing time because we have this bonehead on our roster now?

Watch him buy out Brodie now.

Worst. Offseason. Ever. Where are all my haters at now? You know I'm right.

And Jake Gardiner was significantly better defensively, for even how big some of his gaffs were. Think more Tyson Barrie, and then think of giving Barrie 4.5mil for a season after playing like complete garbage.
YMMV. I also happen to think the gap offensively is a bit wider in comparison. Regardless, have to see how the rest of the blueline, and the team in general, shapes up. I'm neither over the moon nor down in the dumps over the Klingberg signing.
