I really think the Samsonov injury chagled the timeline by hours/days rather than weeks/months. In addition to every good game increasing the chance of external offers, there's also depth management to think of. Kallgren is 9ish days away from needing waivers again. He's not exactly a worldbeater but better than an EBUG and there's a chance he gets claimed. If we had plans to ease Murray back in we would have signed Pietruzelli to come up for the 11th-17th

Detroit tried to sign him but he didn't want to for some reason. No hard feelings on Detroit's end, especially with Husso playing like a number 1 goalie and having Cossa in our system.

Gave of a Sparks vibe to me in his interview. Didn't love he said he really felt the nerves when called up to the AHL last year.

he's in sweden and was the only eligible signed player but i dont think so.

NAK put on waivers and claimed, freeing up a contract spot so the Leafs have room to sign another player. Just hours later Samsonov gets injured and Dubas, who would've been in a real bind without that contract slot open, signs Petruzzelli.

Either Kyle is really, really lucky (at least over the past day) or he's blessed with the power to see the future.
