He demanded to be on the ice alone. For those pointing out his -3 stat, has he been the reason they conceded those goals?
Just trying to show you how useless a stat +- is, especially over such an absurdly small sample size. You stick to your narrative though.
For those pointing out his -3 stat, has he been the reason they conceded those goals?
So you're making just a big a stink in the Jake McCabe thread, right?Play driving stats for that line are absolutely atrocious... what stat do you want? He has 0 points.
You can keep sticking your head in the sand, but that line is bad and negatively impacting the team and he is a big reason.
His line is getting outchanced significantly, so regardless of the +/- of the line, when he is on the ice, the play is generally in their end, which is not good for winning games.

+- is a pretty bad stat for assessing individual players, in a 3 game sample size, it's worse than useless and you either you get that or you don't. I think you do actually get that, you just can't resist any numbers that support your narrative, even if they are garbage.Play driving stats for that line are absolutely atrocious... what stat do you want? Funny how +/- means so much to some of you now when it comes to Reaves.Watched every game and I agree with him. Being a liability on D does the team no favor no matter how much he yaps from the bench.
If 10 mins of the game …in each game you lose the plus minus game….then how does that help the team? Opposing team intimidated being up a goal when he is on the ice?
Our stars don’t need a body guard in the ice . They all have had great success in the regular season
Playoffs are different as rules change so Reese may be more intimidating but then again…goals are valuable in playoffs and if you are terrible defensively it hurts your team more
JMHO
Plus minus stinks. Im more worried about xGf% and hdcf%, which seem to match up with the eye test that the line is spending way too much time chasing and in their own zoneI love how posters say plus minus is not a good stat unless they use it to back up their argument then it’s a good stat. You can’t have it both ways.

You're giving me real stats, and made-up stats. Well that's nice, what do you want me to give you a medal or something? So don't answer anything else... play driving stats this year (and virtually every year he has played) have been garbage... I'm giving you real and made-up stats to show how bad he is, tell me which you prefer to use...
I'm not writing him off yet, but people have seen a few fights and a big hit and think he is contributing in a meaningful way, it is funny.

Perfect - he scared the Hawks to a 4-1 victory.Last night was LOL .. i could hear Ryan up in row 1 behind net .. dude is very loud .. stands up on bench and says to Perry .. would you like a premature retirement party, no of course not you won't fight brave guy .. that is true policing da game when nothing happens to Matty or Willy

It hasn't been established that he's "bad", in order to do that we'd first of all have to agree on how to define the term "bad". Feel free to give us your definition of "bad", I could use the entertainment. An intelligent response would be a good start... you are just ignoring that he is bad, which is fine... but then why respond?
But his +- after 3 games shows that he's "bad".Dear lord you guys complain for
The sake of complaining. Guy has played 3 regular season games, let's judge this when the games start mattering and when the physicality ramps up.
Personally I blame him for Brodie tripping over the blue line. Some seem to think he's the only player on the ice when those goals are scored. It has always been debatable though if some actually watch the games and understand what they are seeing.
Notice how nobody has shown any highlights of these plays? Because he has nothing to do with it. Serious debate is one thing, this is just juvenile pot shots, with no context. I wasn’t even a huge fan of the signing, unlike these automated posters, I’ve watched, and frankly he’s been better than expected. Some seem to think he's the only player on the ice when those goals are scored. Funny how +/- is cool now and not expected +/- per 60For those pointing out his -3 stat, has he been the reason they conceded those goals?
No wonder Nylander hasn't got that extension yet
