Didn't see the game. How was he? Any regrets on not signing Snugglerug or whatever he's called.

I thought he looked good. Battle strength will not be an issue. Seemed to read the play on the defensive side well. It was clear he had no idea how to play with his new teammates, and if that was not the case it would have been shocking.

Level of concern is a glass of water with ice. He should be good for us next season, and can probably be trusted in an injury situation to play some minutes and not be a liability.

I thought his strength was quite evident. He can maintain possession even under pressure by using his body and quickness. He had 2 consecutive turnovers in one shift but I think that was more an issue of not being comfortable with his line mates and not knowing the speed in which the opposition can pursue the puck.

Good first game. He didn’t look out of place at all. Looking forward to next game.

He had a long tough weekend and did OK. Could he become the new Zach Hyman? May not be as fast, but he’s big and strong.

There will definitely be a bit of an adjustment period. Just finished playin in the NCAA where a lot of schools have bigger ice, completely new team and teammates, new system while everyone else is comfortable in it etc.

He will have to learn some of the things he could do in college he wont be able to do in the NHL. But he sure as hell looks physically ready and wont be weak on the puck. I think right now he could fill in on the 3rd line if needed.

Looking forward to see what he does next year.

He was like i expected... he had some good flash and made some rookie mistake ..

He didn't show enough to remove anybody off the line up for him but could be an interesting piece in case of injury
The leafs are a hard to make .

The kid looked really good all things considered. He made 1 very bad mistake in his own end that should have resulted in a goal against, but aside from that he did not look out of place. He was very strong on the puck and he was able to make some quick plays in tight to extend shifts in the offensive zone.

Yes the mistake was bad, but he was pretty rock solid in every other aspect. That was not an easy first game to play, and he handled himself very well IMO.

He's going to have a long NHL career.

Even if he did show enough to remove someone. How bad of a look is it that you’d even think of removing someone off a playoff roster over 1 game.

You got guys with 6-8 years of experience, you’re not going to bump someone out just because Knies had a good debut
