I agree. I didn't watch tonight but honestly didn't need too. Knies bright future but no business playing in the playoffs right now. I would say emergency use only. It doesn't matter that he is 6'3 he will make mistakes.Personally, I wasn't evaluating him on the one mistake, just the fact that he's inexperienced and therefore more likely to make errors. Three games isn't going to change that perception.
Besides, the roster spots should go to the guys that earned it and I can't justify benching any of the presumed starting 12 to get him in there.
Scout: He’s going to be a solid pro. Big, strong, drives the net hard. Honestly, I like Cooley and Snuggerud, but Knies drove that line, for all the grunt work he did in the corners, behind the net, getting Cooley the puck so he could do his magic and Snuggerud could show off his shot. He’s got good feet, he can see the open ice, and he can jump in, which created his opportunities. When he jumps into Toronto, he’ll make an impact.
This is what a scout had to say about Knies in an Athletic article about college prospects.

We saw him jump in tonight and create that goal by O’Reilly.
He's gotta play this season. He's going to be a great addition next season.
Having a practice probably helps. He looked better tonight than last night.
Fewer nerves, or better linemates?
They haven't had a practice.Having a practice probably helps.
They haven't had a practice.
Unfortunately for Knies that was more of a PK practiceWell, they did just play the Lightning.
A sub .500 team for over 2 months.

Knies might be that pp quarterback we've been searching for.
