It's early but Semyonov looks more like a Mikheyev than a Par Lindholm. I like what he brings
One of the best things about Dubas is his vision for how the defense should play, and Liljegren fits that perfectly. He's so good at doing the right things that tilt the ice for his team
Seymonov or brooksIt's becoming clear Kampf will be 3rd line C, who's going to be the fourth line C?
Our best faceoff man. Most likely. It's becoming clear Kampf will be 3rd line C, who's going to be the fourth line C?
While I agree that he looks better than Sandin so far I don't think Sandin has played poorly this game. I actually have also liked Kral quite a bit.Nothing about him stands out first looking at him, but he possesses every quality of what a modern 2-way defenseman should be. Excellent first pass, +4 way mobility, +transition skills, closes gaps effectively, uses his body to separate guys from the puck. The guy looks head and shoulders above Sandin again for me tonight, but it's early.
Liljegren's skating advantage over Sandin looks pretty big right now. I think Sandin will be the better player some day, but Liljegren should get first crack in the NHL. I'd have Sandin ahead of Dermott thoughNothing about him stands out first looking at him, but he possesses every quality of what a modern 2-way defenseman should be. It is so obvious to me that Wayne Simmonds should not be in the opening line-up. Brooks and Ho-Sang look WAY better.
2/3 of a solid 3rd lineKampf and kase look so good together
The Score app showed the game time for 7:30pm ... I missed all but the last 2 minutes of the 1st. How'd Liljegren play?Wow.. This thread is DEAD
Good buddies. Sometimes tends to translate to the ice when you wanna play for the guy next to you. Love to see it. I think Kerfoot or Mikheyev on their wing is the obvious choice. We have a ton of forward depth this year. Ho-sang is pushing for a spot and there's no spots on forward without a trade. Good issue to have I supposeKampf and kase look so good together
Simmonds. I'm sure he will pass through waivers pretty easily and if not who caresIf Semyonov and Ho Sang make the team who do they drop?
You can tell that he is far more inclined to make riskier decisions for the sake of creating offense. I think he'd be best watching some more Adam Fox footage if he wants to see how a guy with enormous hockey IQ with below average physical tools can contribute on both ends.My issue with Sandin is almost everytime I see him, I think "he's trying to play like Rielly", and then he gets caught over and over because his skating is nowhere close. He needs to watch Brodie and just do everything he does.
Ho-sang needs a deal. Even if he starts in the AHL for us. He's a solid talent add that'll be dirt cheap
A guy I’ve been surprisingly happy with in both preseason games has been amadio. He will never play a minute for the Leafs likely, but he plays the game well IMO
