If the decision had to be made tonight, Malgin's the guy seeing second line minutes. Looks like it's his job to lose from here on in.

Personally I thin this is a chance to have a truly deep lineup.

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Robertson - Tavares - Jarnkrok
Malgin - Kerfoot - Nylander
Engvall - Kampf - NAK
ZAR
Simmonds

Cap says you're gonna be lucky to have 1 forward spare.

I truly take ZAR over Simmonds, maybe a hair cheaper and special teams utility.

I just don't see Robertson on the second line. Malgin's speed would add so.much more to that line. Robertson would just drag that line down, speed wise

That's why he works there he is with Tavares. That line is made to not be a rush line it is made to cycle and one of the forwards getting into the slot area because they all have dirty bombs of a shot.

Malgin is a faster skilled winger and I think Kerfoot and Nylander are better off the rush and would dominate other teams bottom 6 players. Nylanders ice time is upped on the PP and being double shifted in certain situations.

4th line is an energy line that can score

Samsonov looking solid. Like what I see, considering it is just preseason. He can only stop the shots they give him.

Like another poster stated. Just chaun him to the net and he's golden

He's big and aggressive to the shooter. On a shit defensive team that is a nightmare. If we can play solid defense and keep the puck in front of him he is going to save most of them.

One thing Campbell really struggled with was challenging the shooter the puck always found a way through him. He was better when puck was up close moving laterally.
