Thought there was some rule that forced teams to have a few "stars" in the line up each night (even on the road)

Traded I think.
Never has been. The rule is minimum 8 "veterans" need to be in the lineup. Leafs have 11 or 12.
Probably better if he doesn’t look too good in the preseason, might have a chance of clearing waivers then……..
Jankrok already hurt again, honestly wouldn’t mind if they waived him. He’s been useless in the playoffs.
I guess there is a loose definition of what constitutes a "veteran"Never has been. The rule is minimum 8 "veterans" need to be in the lineup. Leafs have 11 or 12.
There is method to this what seems like madness.Does berube not want to even give Cowan a chance to make the team?
I get having him play in a fourth line role to see if he can play a different role, but I’d rather send him down and play in the CHL vs 4th line in the nhl. Almost no top prospect does that, so I don’t see why he should too.
I don’t see the need for someone like knies to have to play first line for example, as he is already guaranteed a first line spot and we know much more of how he looks vs the other prospects.

If they are going to play Cowan on the 4th line to see if he can fit there they should just send him back to the Knights. It’s crazy to put a skill player on the 4th line during the regular season and expect him to excel. So if that’s what they are testing out tonight just send him back
How is he going to have a big game playing on the 4th lineCowan needs a big game if he wants to make the opening day
And that’s where he’s headed.but I’d rather send him down and play in the CHL vs 4th line in the nh
Would not want to be paying 100 quid for that.A lot of posters are saying Cowan's on the 4th line tonight, but it might have just been Mark Masters who listed the lines in that order.
Alter has Hirvonen-Quillan-Steeves as the 4th line.

Honestly Jarnkrok gotta go. He’s shit and he’s hurt. His spot better be up for grabs
