It's a player issue in the sense they stopped playing for Keefe, all you have to do is look at Edmonton to see what happens when players quit, Connor quit on his coach, they lost something like 12 of 15, coach is fired, Conner is averaging close to 3 points a game since now they are 6 points out of a WC spot..

That has nothing to do with McDavid being injured before...
