It’s both tbh. They give up too many grade A chances because the system is trash. But the goalie also never make a big save.

All of these goalies on the team are awful in addition to having a horrible roster, crappy coach, and an imbecile running the team.

Why? EK's not happening until this summer and then the team will have two retention spots open up from Petry and Smith's contracts expiring.

I don't think the Pens *have* to retain to move Rakell, but if it bumps the value up, why wouldn't they? If retaining a million or so on Rakell gets you a 1st and a decent prospect thrown in, that's what the Pens should be gunning for.

I mean, unless there's a deal lined up for EK and you're getting a better return back than what you'd get for Rakell. But I really don't think EK moves until the summer.

Rust getting the puck in OT only to immediately give it away was pretty funny.

The game was pretty fun because both goalies and defenses were taking a nap for much of it, didn't need the point but whatever, Crosby and Rakell got some points of their own which is nice. The Penguins 3rd line players got less even strength ice time than Ryan Reaves... another Sullivan masterclass. Gryz's "defending" is hilarious, if someone actually wants to give anything for him we should take it and run, even if it's a 7th round pick in 3012.
