Great comeback win. I'll take it!!

My problem with reviews is the inconsistency. That kicking goal is sometimes called good, sometimes called no goal. We've seen worse leg movements to redirect the puck that has been allowed after video review.

The high stick one was worse. How does a pro league in this day and age not have a camera set up at perfect crossbar height? The technology exists to get it right. Frikken spend the money and use it ffs.

How does a skewed camera angle supposed to help anyone get the call right? Imagine game 7 of a playoff round and the highstick is a hair over or under the crossbar. No ref will ever be able to know for sure.

Enough whining...

Onto the next one

Go Leafs Go!!!
Put another camera or two IN the net just under the crossbar at the back, use AI to determine, it should be able to triangulate using them and the existing cameras.

Not sure that record is indicative of anything but good fortune, who is going to have a +50% PP over 3 or 4 games, I think they scored something like 1, 5 on 5 goal over that hot stretch but something like 7 or 8 PP goals. Without that red hot PP our recored would be sub .500.

I think they said we have 19 back to backs this year? Just shy of 50% of our games are B2B

Tell me more... sounds interesting...
wtf 19? I knew it'd be bad because of the 4 Nations thing but that's crazy.

If you want consistency you're looking for calls by the rules, so you should be applauding the 'pushed in' call, even if it was against us (would you be complaining if the exact same thing happened except to the other team?)

Remember that the refs and the video review people have more camera angles at their disposal than we ever see. I think the likelihood of the person standing within a few feet of the play, supported by more cameras and better equipment than we have (and probably less bias) getting the call right is much higher.

Back to back games this season:

Carolina and Toronto have 16.
Montreal has 15.
7 teams have 14.
5 teams have 13.
10 teams have 12.
3 teams have 11.
3 teams have 10.
Winnipeg has 8.

It's likely that a large part of the reason is scheduling. After all, the ACC (or SBA, or whatever TLA it's going by today) has Raptors' games and concerts as well, whereas Winnipeg has nothing but the Jets and snow and black flies. :sarcasm:
