Leafs should too. Everyone hates the leafs so they should lean into that. Obnoxious horns, annoying in ring announcer, arrogant Twitter account, etc

Last time we had anything close to an obnoxious goal horn was the early 2000s and then having Zombie Nation playing afterwards. Our goal horn and song have been sanitized messes since then.

I saw it as classic Marner. A minute before the goal he is great. Gets the puck out. Simple and restart

Then…he goes into dummy Marner mode. Holds puck behind the net until Reilly takes over and then should get the f*** off the ice. But nope…has to stay a second or two longer just cuz…and the puck is given up at the leafs blue line.

And Tavares has been the main culprit all year so it’s not just one game.

Marner then does probably the worst thing he possibly can apart from putting it in his own net letang/Malkin style

He does…nothing. Ice the f***ing puck, put it into the corner, do something with it just don’t fall over and push the puck towards your zone.

Rielly gave Marner the puck in a bad spot, but Marner is good enough and smart enough to still get the puck into a good spot there, but not this time

Go back and watch the whole shift from after the commercial.

What you’ll see is that Marner stayed on for no good reason. Even if the pass was perfect..what’s he gonna do with it? Dump it in? He was at the end of a shift and right by his bench while his teammate had the puck.

He had to get the f*** off the ice. That’s what should be screamed at him by his coach.
