Tavares was f***ing awful which is par for the course.

I saw it as classic Marner. A minute before the goal he is great. Gets the puck out. Simple and restart

Then…he goes into dummy Marner mode. Holds puck behind the net until Reilly takes over and then should get the f*** off the ice. But nope…has to stay a second or two longer just cuz…and the puck is given up at the leafs blue line.

At some point it has to be because the shooter is not picking good spots not just “bad luck”

He’s had 3 great chances and has nothing to show for it. He does this consistently, 3 games doesn’t change that he’s an ass finisher

He should be a yearly 40 goal scorer with the chances he gets
