Leafs need to address the goaltending.

To be fair to Freddie he never had anything CLOSE to Rielly Brodie McCabe as a top 3.

You put Freddie in net tonight this is MAYBE a 5-2 game.

I guarantee he's not letting in 4 goals on 11 shots
 
Samsonov is the worst goalie in the NHL. Absolutely pathetic.

Did a great job turning a top 10 defensive team into a bottom 5 in a few short months.

In a pinch now. Cannot roll Sammy back out there anymore. This was his last shot.

Road trip to Cali next week... Includes a b2b, doubt they run Jones in all three (plus tomorrow).

Something has to happen between now and that flight taking off!
 
I can't see Sammy being given another game. He's finished in Toronto. Sad to see but this game is the end of the road. It's undeniable.
 
The worst goalie in the entire NHL. Call up Petruzzeli, Hildeby, hell even Cavallin. Its going to be extremely hard for any of them to be worse than Samsonov. The bar is very low.

I can only put so much stock into the defence being the problem when looking at Woll's numbers in comparison to those put forth by Samsonov (Jones arguably hasn't played enough just yet to be a proper part of this comparison).

Would calling up hildeby and giving him some games be rushing him? It’s a small sample size and ideally would rather give him the whole year in the AHL but he is worth a try.

Theyre both a problem. Defense isn't even close to good enough. But yeah Sammy's unplayable.
 
Really should had asked the price of Helle and actually paid for it in the summer.

The team can play but really need a goalie.
