Woll injuring himself on what appeared to be a basic play is not a good sign. Will wait for news.
It's crazy, he made several post to post saves during the game that were highlight reel quality...the play where the injury occurred he was pretty much just standing there. Doesn't make sense.Woll injuring himself on what appeared to be a basic play is not a good sign. Will wait for news.
A friend of mine got a tear in his knee just from standing up out of a chair. He was like 27 at the time. No, I play the odds. It is far more common for the MCL to be injured rather than the ACL.Do you do house calls?

For certain, the team will need to give more than half an effort, if they want to continue winning first past the post.
Samsonov should be back soon, and while he hasn’t been up to last years standards, we should hope that he does get there.
If not, we’ve got other options to try, before we consider trades, and that’s without even knowing how long Woll is out. Hopefully it’s ST.
The amount of activity I’ve done, running, biking, sports, power lifting, manual labour…. Never a knee problem.
Slip on ice……. Miniscus and minor MCL.
They showed a replay just before he went done its like he felt something then the next play he couldnt get up.Woll injuring himself on what appeared to be a basic play is not a good sign. Will wait for news.
Do we get to see the Hildebeast this year?
Vejmelka is making almost 3 million and is pretty bad… You’re better off staying put with Samsonov - Jones in the meantime.I think Vejmelka has a cheap contract and could probably be acquired. If Toronto calls up Jones and hildeby, who is left playing net in the minors?
Haven’t they said he’s out with an illness. I’m sure he’ll be back soon.can someone explain to me what is up with Samsonov? Last i heard his wife had a baby or something... is he actually injured?
We really don't have other options, IF Woll is out long term It's either Samsonov plays like an NHL goalie or you go get somebody.
Unless of course you think Martin Jones is the guy.
I don't think anyone thinks that, including management since they signed Martin Jones to be the #3, not the #1, hell not even the backup.
Other options.
1. Samsonov
2. Jones.
3. Hilldeby
4. Petruzelli.
You sign a #3, as someone who can be a backup, with a few starts, if one of your top two goes down... that's literally why you sign them... nobody thinks he's the guy.... but just good enough in an emergency. It's not the time to panic.
They showed on the broadcast that he was favoring his leg earlier and the initial damage was probably done by a Jean Claud Van Damme miraculous save. It's crazy, he made several post to post saves during the game that were highlight reel quality...the play where the injury occurred he was pretty much just standing there. Hilldeby is not an option this year, if I'm not mistaken this is his first season in North America you don't want to throw him to the wolves this year.

He's absolutely an option, if necessary. Maybe you don't want to, but if necessary.....
Of course he is if they feel he can play at the NHL level.
Sure... one bad game in the NHL is going to ruin him, just like it ruined a bunch of other goalies careers... I mean, if a goalie can't take one bad outing, they won't last anyway.... It's ridiculous. If that becomes necessary you go get somebody, because that kid is dominating the AHL, you don't want to risk f***ing up his confidence before he has even a quater of a season in the AHL, never mind a full season, this kid doesn't even have a quater of a season, he's showing promise, don't rush him.
Rushing him seems like a bad idea.
