I asked AI to draw the mother of all snakes thinking it would be horrifying. It was actually quite nice.

"injured" Kreider clocked in at over 24 MPH zooming up the ice on his goal. Shits gonna throw him into the 99th percentile on NHL edge top speed.

I don't think he played well tonight and hasn't played well for a while but when he wants to get after it he still can. Why he doesn't do it more often is something they've got to figure out.

But you have to admit that Mika is a guy that struggles with confidence. There are different types of snakebitten. His confidence was just very low.

Mika is the anomaly of all anomalies.

He might be the only guy who I can think of who is undeniably soft mentally while being an undeniable strong playoff producer. The underlying numbers in the PO's suck (for a variety of reasons, being used as a match up guy being one of them and we've now had 3 coaches who have been too happy to do that) but when the chips are down, points have come off of his stick.

I think the hate for this player has gotten beyond exhausting. He literally can't do anything with out at least a handful of people jumping down his throat (at least a dozen people were trashing him after the 1st period tonight when he was perfectly fine) but I don't think we've had a better forward since the calendar flipped.

I don't think he's even come close to redeeming himself for how he played during November and December, but the 2025 version has been much better.

I've been saying this for a while. He's not hurt. The back problems shit he told mollie sounds more like chronic issues related to age and wear and tear requiring management and maintenance. Even before tonight I've seen instances where he turned it up when he wanted to. Is his stamina the same? Probably not. He can do it in spurts.
