This?
:big laugh:
No!
Well that's just it. The weight you are using seems high to be doing that many reps.
That's a misconception. High reps does not equal a tonned body. A toned body is entirely to do your diet and cardio but all a higher number of reps do is build up your slow twitch muscle fibers.

Higher reps does equal more toning but not 20 reps in one shot like Bert is doing with a still fairly heavy weight.
Do 5 sets of 10 bench press with 140lbs. That is for toning.
Combining it with cardio is the best. thats why the p90x type stuff works so well.
High heart rate while doing strength exercises.
I used to research about building muscle when I was younger and taught myself about muscle fibers and pretty much everything building muscle related.
Trust me I know. Learning about building muscle was a big interest to me in highschool and researched*everything about it. Im not sure why though but I know as much as all personal trainers know.

Same.
Been through a few rehab stints too. Nothing llike starting from scratch, with a muscle you used to take for granted.

It is a lot, but I also keep the weight down on my other exercises .. My chest was weak as hell when I was younger, so I've been looking to get it a lot stronger over the years
Rain on my parade
I do a lot of cardio actually, and have cut down on the crappy foods I ate, all of it together has worked nicely for me
Speaking of which, I have yoga tomorrow night and hockey right after .. Thursday might be sore
And by that you mean you will be too sore to sit up so will have to go to bed and not watch the leafs game, right? Rightttt? RIGHTTTT!!!!!?
Getting back to the gym after I broke my right hand a couple years ago was tough ... Getting a strong grip plus the strength and flexibility in my wrist took awhile
