I know the idea of trades are awesome but I am truly worried on where this franchise is heading with Burke gone.

Nonis will be far more patient than Burke was. I don't see him doing anything crazy for short-term fixes.

Honesty. I'm anxious to see the trades though. I think they can be made on sunday right?

The thing with Burke was he had my trust. Even though the team hadn't made the playoffs, I trusted that Burke knew what he was doing. I'm questionable with Nonis, but I do think he also knows what he's doing. Should be an interesting year, and I think Nonis will be a more quiet, secluded type of GM, which I think will be good for the team.

I have no problem with patience, I preach it way too much on this site. My problem is when the time comes and if he is still around will he be able to make the pitches that are necessary to get this franchise rolling. As I said it's easy to be a steve tambellini sit on your ass and get the first rounders as high as possible but when the time rolls and it will, it will be much harder to get a franchise to the cup.

Whatever the case is I hope we get this team in the right direction and no more meddling from freaking ownership. It's not bad to have ownership's hand but when it is this painful and idiotic first step, then it doesn't sit well with the fans as well leaves a bad taste.

God damn it I wish Dale Tallon was still available :laugh:

I work in a nursing home which has almost 20 cases of the flu right now. It's a miracle that I haven't got it.

Hope you're feeling better soon though.

Lucky you. If one is careful enough and takes lots of precautions they can certainly put it off and keep it away.

Morning LL.

Burke's presser was classic :laugh:

He owned Simmons hard

That was the best part of the whole thing :laugh:

Quote of the year :biglaugh:

Give me the details!!!

Burke said something like this to Steve Simmons:

"The best thing about leaving is that I will never have to talk to you again!"

My fantasy league through work is thinking of having the draft tonight. The scoring is different so I'm going to have to check to see if my rankings still work or if I need to make some tweaks.

Goals = 3
Assist = 2
PIM = 0.3
SHG = 2
PPP = 1

Wins = 5
Saves = 0.2
Shutouts = 3
GA = -1

Each column you win should get you 1pt, not like what you have.

The scoring is head to head points if it makes a difference. I was talking to someone in it at work today and the way he was talking to me it seemed like who ever had the most points combined won the match up.

That reminds me, are the categories finalized?

Yeah it should be, I have G,A,+/-,Pims, PPP, hits, blocked shots

GAA, SV%, wins, shutouts. Phion wanted more categories like GP for goalies and points but adding more categories would make it harder to draft for new people I think

And your right h2h points is like that. Only difference Is in mine is if you beat the other person in a category you win that category and get 1 point
