Ba
Babcock is available.
Even Nylander regresses when he's put there so what chance does Ritchie have. Matthews/Marner is a flop show. Split them up and the wins will roll in.Kid Kyle? Man I am younger then him, am I an infant?
Anyways, I doubt Dubas was happy about losing Hyman, just like we all were unhappy about it, its tough to get someone that played as well as Hyman for 2mil. Richie was a shot, definitely hasn't work out so far.
He has a NMC in the final year of his contract, lol...nice work, Dubas.
the scary part was so many people here wanted the Leafs to sign him.
...and what else was that, a first-rounder for Foligno?
2nd pp got it to the net quite a bit and got some good looksThe PP is still atrocious.
Looked good in Boston. How come players look good on other teams then come here and aren't the same? Coaching? Players?

I never believed Matthews ever had any intentions of signing another contract in TO. Still don’t.I was feeling pretty confident that Matthews would sign a new contract with Toronto. But Dubas has screwed up the team so much and killed the future, that I wouldn't be surprised if he bails now. If Matthews walks, it's back to the lottery and ping pong balls.
Dubas goes home and plays Be A GM on NHL '22. Gets fired first game in.
Can't remember from where but I heard that the mood around Leafs organization is pretty grim knowing that this year is their last chance. Including Shanahan.
I feel like if Dubas is let go, he's going to succeed with another NHL team. He clearly knows how to evaluate talent and finding value contracts, he's just been so awful at negotiations and far too soft with his stars.
AM will resigns with TO bc I think Yokes is moving, didn’t the city is not renewing their lease? Beside, AM knows TO us where he can make huge endorsements money. If anything, the sell pitch to AM will be, MCD will come home, he will and he can. LolI was feeling pretty confident that Matthews would sign a new contract with Toronto. I feel we'd be in a far better place with Lou Lam. And I cheered when the guy was let go. He plays boring hockey, he doesn't draft very well either, but damn he understands hockey, not just a kid with MS Excel.Auston Matthews is my favorite Leaf right now. But if he isn't the solution that drags this franchise up and up and the Leafs continue to face plant over the next couple of years, that's going to negatively impact his own brand and we'll probably be begging for another lottery and more ping pong balls.
Replaced your hardest working foreard with a lazy player who takes a stupid penalty almost ever game. Looking like the Bruins knew what they were doing when they cut bait.Question

After screwing up the best Leafs team in a generation, I doubt any NHL team employs Kyle Dubas as GM.
He will go back to where he belongs, which is the AHL.
it would be a travesty if he walks for nothing.
If Matthews plays out all 5 here. He will stay. He has a whole marketing team at all times. In 5 years he should be about 70 goals from the leaf record. Being the all time best player for a global market would be massive. Way better for his brand than anything else. The leafs are global.
IF he decides he wants out and espn pushes him to a southern/Hispanic market. Or New York. Then you trade him. He cant walk for nothing.
As someone who's looking more for process right now than racking up points in the regular season, the same issues plaguing the team are there. Things start to go wrong and mentally the team cracks. Things are going to go wrong in a hockey game sometimes and sometimes you'll lose because of it, but the Leafs don't push back. Bunting and Spezza were the only ones trying to generate any energy out there when the team was down. Our cores group looks completely disinterested.
Ritchie also just does not fit the make-up of this team at all, he's gonna be a fifth wheel all season unless there are adjustments soon.
I think he actually did decent on the offseason signings. Richie has not been good no arguments here.Is it though? I kept hearing that guys like Hyman were plentiful at that price range. To replace a guy with a league wide rep as a hard worker with a guy who has a rep for lazy inconsistent play is the height of incompetence.
NMC kicks in the day he can be re-signed. More brilliant planning by Kid Kyle.
McD could cure a lot of ills.AM will resigns with TO bc I think Yokes is moving, didn’t the city is not renewing their lease? Beside, AM knows TO us where he can make huge endorsements money. If anything, the sell pitch to AM will be, MCD will come home, he will and he can. Lol
