Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose in OT 4-3

Add in a goalie who hasn't won a game against Arizona or SJ and can't put a .900 save percentage if his life depended on it

Really hope they don't put Marner out there to answer to the media tonight. Like it or not Mitch is staying on this team. Last thing we need is him to get crucified in a post game.

Saying that. I think the window on this team may have closed. It's a gutless group with big raises coming up. No honour, no real want or will to win. The duck are terrible and the Leafs can't even hold them off. Is it the players is it the Coach? Is it both? I don't know anymore but the product on the ice is disgusting. We literally should be 10-0 right now with our easy schedule. And here we are 10 games in and on the verge of being out of a playoff spot.

I'm very sad right now I knew we were going to be shifty this year but ffs we were so well placed to go far 2016.

We beat the Penguins when they were good in the very last game to qualify for the playoffs.

Shanahan you started this shitshow just resign.

Keefe benched nylanders line until they made them tie the game I get situational hoccey but you can ride the other lines that didn’t produce nothing 5on5 and bench the one line that scored and was playing good and he shuffles the lines and leaves the one line that’s struggling?

Agreed. The issue is with the GM and the players. Keefe has shown what he can do with a decent roster. .670 points percentage is impressive.

He's been handed absolute dog shit this season.

The problem is though it's not just a week. We've now lost to Montreal, Arizona, San Jose & Anaheim all within in first 10 games of the season. We simply aren't good at this point.

Again anyone who says the Leafs don't have a problem scoring just look at how they've been this season. Their defense stinks, but it doesn't help that these guys seemingly can't consistently finish their chances. All this talent and yet they have so much trouble putting in their scoring chances. This team desperately needs good finishers like a Zegras or Pastrnak.

Dubas and Keefe - GONE.

Trade Marner. We'll get great return for him. It'll shake the core and team up. We can bring in two solid players for the money he's making and still have a 1-2 punch of Matthews and Tavares with Nylander on the wing along with a possible new addition. Allocate some more money to the depth and D. Ride Samsonov to see if he can be a reliable starter.

These guys are just unbelievably mentally weak.

They need to cut the cutesie putsie shit and shoot the bloody puck.

Did Marner shoot the puck? No, he bloody tried to stick handle it in, no damn shot.

2 on 2 the other way, the Duck shoots and scores. If that was our 2 on 2, does the Leaf shoot the puck? Of course not, it has to be a pretty pass that most likely gets intercepted and goes back the other way.

These guys don’t have it between the ears.

Maybe now that they are playing like ass and should be feeling humbled, they will listen to a hard ass coach like Trots. If not, they have to do something drastic. This is ugly and isn’t working.
