He's not a good coach. And he won't be talked about as a Legend here.

But it's more than that. We have 3 x 11mil forwards. We have 1 of them who is playing terribly. Another who is our 2nd line centre on pace for 19 even strength goals. We have one our top pairing dmen that shouldn't be playing because he's nearly unusable. And we have 1 goalie we can play.

There's so much wrong, we need to take a serious step or two back to figure out the best way forward.
Well, does Keefe have a structure system in place? Has Keefe ever tried to spread the 3 x 11mil players into three effective scoring lines?
Keefe always get outmatched by opposing coaches in playoffs.

Keefe is not the only problem but he is one of them.

Don’t think the team is bad but they need a new mentality or someone, a coach, who set the tone instead of just letting them go free fall and win with talents.

I don't think this is the game to ride them. It was a pretty even game, but just happened to be a loss. They will probably beat LA on the road and then somehow lose one of the San Jose games.

When the Leafs lose, Marner does not look, feel remotely like a franchise player. Not sure if that says something about his value when he's a top end player and acting like it. Or if it means when he's off he's just going to be really off.

We've had so many debates on here about Marner relative to a guy like Aho. Aho is a skilled guy who is also a trusted defensive player. Don't watch Canes games on a regular basis but he just plays it honestly and there's no goofy stuff.
Difference between Marner and Aho?

Both highly skilled. Aho thinks the game on a high level and knows how to play hard and keep it simple.

Marner, years into his career, is still trying to do junior hockey shit. Playing with Matthews just makes it worse.

Aho is a student of the game.

Marner is a mental midget of the game.

He had no positive impact on the game. Could've sat him and played Kampf there and it wouldn't have looked any different.

That's a worry

Like I said above. Not a good night, but this idea of scapegoating him for the loss is a little over the top silly. It's a team loss , -- as a group they didn't find enough to get it done.

They definitely need a new coach, that is true.

But i want the team to stop patching over holes and actually fix the damn problem before it's unfixable. I've wanted this for 5 years now. I'm still watching every game hoping and praying, but here we still are.

Boston and Florida just pulling away now. Maybe we can get our asses spanked by a Metro team this time in the first round if we fall into a wildcard spot. At least that would be new

MM overthinks the game when he struggles.
Playing with AM makes both of them complacent. They both feed off each other and will score goals and breaks records but it is easy to shut them down in the playoffs.
