Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose again to poverty franchise

Highest paid players played terrible, combined -15 from our top 5 paid players.

Rielly just seems to only have eyes for one side of the ice as well, all of our defensive acumen seemed to die with him in the game. He should be looking like the veteran, but often times looks like an AHL veteran defensively.

Not an impressive showing, but overall a blip on the radar.

Nylander and Marner have been carrying this team

Murray and Murray alone lost this one anyone that says any different is just making excuses.

You will never convince me that 4 goals on 20 shots is a defense issue.

You can't win with 800 goaltending it is that simple.

Both guys need to pull their head from their ass and start pulling their weight again because the last 4 games they haven't shown up.

Which goal should Murray have saved that he didn't, you can't just say 4 on 20 is on the goalie...

Toronto just got CRUSHED by Arizona. Murray is f***ing terrible. Between him and Samsonov, they are the worst goaltending duo in the league. f***ing bush league.

It's not the losses, it's the type of game opponents play that the Leafs top talent have trouble.with.

They have as much talent as any team in the league but noone would compare this teams talent as driven as that of Boston or Tampa.

Matthews has played a smart two way game this year but something is up with him. My guess is he is playing through an injury like a good soldier, wanting to will himself to assure the team makes the playoffs. Sundin, Clark and Gilmour all did the same at times.

They've played well all season, not with this defensive effort though. Defense and goaltending has been their strength. Not tonight.
