Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose 5-2

Same story as the playoffs. If even one of the big 3 go cold we stand no chance going far.

Marner goes mia we suck.
Matthews goes mia we are no longer elite.
Nylander goes MIA we drop down a gear or 2.


We do not have a supporting cast to lift the team up when needed. We can't blame it on not having ROR or Acciari, we were Bonafide contenders before that trade was made.

One of those games where our goalies couldn’t come up with key saves and the defence was too sloppy. Murray, the glass man, isn’t going to lead us past Tampa. Sammy wasn’t expecting to play so he gets a pass from me.

Lafferty is offering nothing right now. Nylander is really struggling. And Liljegren looks disinterested to me. Whether it was Keefe, the trading of his buddy, or just natural regression, he looks terrible out there.

As long as no more injuries, I can live with this loss. We were missing half the starters tonight. Murray’s injury might be a blessing, Woll is better right now. We NEED Marner for the playoffs real bad.

With 7 games left, I agree. Let Murray rest for a few, Sammy can take two off, give Woll the next two and see where his game is at. Sam with two of the last three and Murray gets one or two before the real games start.

So? Teams play bad games and these guys are going to be judged on the playoffs

I also don't care about ticket buyers, you will get good games and bad from every team

It's crazy that anyone is willing to bet money on these games. A ref with hurt feelings can play a huge role in deciding the outcome with a none call.

Not to mention, Murray literally got taken out of the game by something as blatant as you can get, which was replyayed multiple times and not even a hint of a call.

It struck me that just about everyone was playing as though they didn't know who their linemates or partners were, where they were going to be, or what they were going to do. (I wonder if that has anything to do with constantly shuffling the lines and pairs, both between and during games?)

The only player who seemed to know exactly what his linemate would do was Nylander, who seemed resigned to just waiting until JT either shot the puck or lost it.

This game was further proof, if any more was needed, that JT doesn't belong in the top six any more. PP ok, but that's it.

Much as I hate to see anyone hurt, it might be a blessing in disguise if Murray's injury takes the decision out of Keefe's hands.

Bad result and we werent crisp. Still carried the play, generated the best chances and just had a shitty goaltending performance

Once we rested a bunch of dudes there's was no way we were winning that game. So just chalk it up to the schedule

Tampa is heating up but doesn't have enough games to catch us I think.

Hopefully RoR gets some pre playoff time

We've been very up or down in the net the last month that's the big area that needs to get it's shit together for the playoffs

No if you could convince them that coach but if they don’t do it they have to be totally brain dead
