The Bruins are insane, almost a freak occurence. If you're going to trash the Leafs for "not hanging with them" then trash every other team in the league while you're at it.

Over all it's been a very good season, don't forget the character we showed when we had a ton of injuries. Just a reminder, the season isn't over yet, and the playoffs haven't even started.
The Bruins show more heart, compassion, attention to detail and grit, in every single game than our Leafs show in 5 games. That is the problem with our Leafs.

Most of the other teams in the league won't be playing the Bruins in the playoffs. With the stupid playoff format, our Leafs will HAVE to go through them if they want to win a Stanley Cup. Not hanging with them in the standings just proves how OVERPAID our core is IMHO.

When I read posts like this I sometimes wonder - do you ever wonder how this team is 4th overall in the standings (despite all the injuries this season) instead of 24th? Hint - this team is better than you think, a lot better. :)

I never said he forgot to play hockey. He’s having an okay year. He’s got 28 goals and been great defensively so I don’t know where this he forgot to play hockey comes from.
He's pacing for significantly lower numbers than usual.

I still don't understand your argument. He doesn't "forget" how to score well. He just "doesn't" score well this year. So it's not that he "forgot". It's not "bad luck". It's not "injuries". It's not "something mental." Ok, what is it? Magic? Is that your current argument? Magic spells were cast on him?

I just don't understand your position.

I've watched a bunch of Bruin games but certainly not close to all of them. I know good Teams have off nights and lose from time to time but has anyone ever seen the Bruins mail it in this year like we saw last night?
They did that a handful of times including one game against Toronto.

But the Leafs have done that like 20 times already and this season isn't over yet.

Lets just start with....the last game Boston played.

The Bruins looked absolutely useless against the Flames but were held in by the fact Ullmark has gone all world god mode this season. Lets see how the Leafs look against the Flames tonight I guess but I'm not sure the Leaf have looked worse against a team this year than Boston did against Calgary. I guess we'll see the comparison tonight but I just dont see the Leafs getting outshot 57-20.

Yeah. They got outshot 57-20 or something insane like that - they were also on a b2b and played Edmonton the night before.
Yeah, they did look a little sluggish that night. Goalie made it better than it was.

I guess it's human nature to look a little more critically at your own team than others.

Just a bad game to flush fellas. No big deal. Oilers beat us after two years, it was fun while it lasted. Oilers were in a wild card spot last night.

Leafs have made a lot of changes it'll take a bit here to get going. Good thing for them is they get CGY right away.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the season thus far. Lots and lots of hockey to be played.

One thing I didn't like was how much Keefe played Holl-Rielly last night. It showed no purpose or intelligence.

Felt bad for all the Leafs fans in attendance who paid premium prices to see that debacle.

Samsonov has to stick to playing at SBA only.

Maybe my memory is bad but I seem to recall Holl in other fights and he gooned his opponents. RNK is a bit of a featherweight no?
I think Holl thought he was a featherweight, didn't take him long to drop his gloves..

Pretty embarrassing for Holl,I think there will be a rematch if RNH accepts

I think RNH got a lucky one in.

 Not sure what’s funnier that you’re serious or that you thought that had any affect.
Do you think they just sat in their hotel rooms in Edmonton Tuesday night? What do you think happens on the road? They all decided to go on a bender because they attended a Springsteen concert?

 This place never fails to deliver the laughs.

I know, I love the comments no Springsteen next time :D That just gives them more time to party elsewhere :D

I wish I could tell you we have leaders on this team who won't let it go too far but do we? No lady guard was assaulted, let's be grateful for that.

Imagine the beating we could've gotten had Evander Kane been in the lineup. Holl is lucky its RNH and not Kane on the ice when he got Mike Tysoned.

How do you let yourself get beat up by RNH...embarrassing cherry on top last night.

I wouldn't worry about a game here and a game there .. every pro team has a few every season .. last night Matty and Willy decided to both take night off .. Oilers have lots of speed and it takes a bigger effort to crank up da jets and da 2 boys decided it was not worth it .. Mitch and JT and ROR tried there best .. games against Tampa will all be decided by defense and tending .. it is gonna be a close series .. when push comes to shove my guess is Vasi will win 2 games and Murray will win 2 games and da last 3 get decided by da better defensive team who gives up da least amount of chances .. or one of 2 tenders has a shut down no one is scoring on me game 7 .. or maybe like last year it comes down to a weak refs call in game 6 .. it is gonna be a nail biter series .. lets hope Leafs catch a break this year .. i gotta feeling ROR will carry team in game 7 just a hunch

He’s having a bad year. WhY is that so crazy to think? No must be something else because no player ever had a bad year?

I didn’t even like Marner’s game last night very much at all, despite the couple points. His cute play on the pk caused the turnover that kinda then set the tone for the game.

No one looked good last night.

In the long list of lame excuses people have come up with over the years for a no show loss, Springsteen must be the most idiotic.
The highway's jammed with broken heroes
On a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight
But there's no place left to hide

Watching the fight RNH looks like a guy that may have some training throwing the mittens. The way he threw he had no hesitation, he seemed to know what he was doing.
