If Prime Ken Dryden was in the game he doesn't let in that 3rd goal which turned out to be the winner.
What got me is that the entire reason Schneider was wide open on that 3rd goal is a bit of blatant interference by Blake Wheeler...Didn’t love the third goal - but hardly a case to blame Jones. Puck luck, no coaching adjustments and no power plays were the difference.
Solid effort - not the result we want.
1 game, no big deal.
I'll agree with that. He's been missing since Sweden...Trash game by Nylander.
Reaves and Jones. Has Jones never played pinball before, like come on manWe still blaming Reaves for this loss?
I thought we were blsming Tavares?Reaves and Jones. Has Jones never played pinball before, like come on man
Him and Timmins. Reward of playing is far outweighed by his risky defensive play. Robertson has been pretty useless as well. Not a player on a SC contender.I thought we were blsming Tavares?
8.8 x 8I'll agree with that. He's been missing since Sweden...
Meh, Tavares is cooked.
Tavares play after year 1 is the main reason the Leafs have underperformed. He was really good when the NHL was slower, but it sped up and left him behind.
Yeah he is back to his peak level I believe. 11 goals and 16 points in his last 8 games now
Both guys seem like they're wired to take advantage of weaker competition at a lower league but can't help themselves making higher danger decisions when all they need to do is make the reliable and predictable play. Robertson's Yakupov game, busy on dekes, quite a bit of flash but zero productivity and Timmins turnover prone style, weak body positioning aren't that encouraging. The risk to reward benefit just isn't there.
There was nothing he could on most of those goals. What more do you honestly expect from a 3rd string goalie?
This here is the best thing to come out of the game tonight.
To be fair to Robertson, he's playing less than 50 games in the NHL so far and at 22 it's fair to say he's still got at least a bit of development left, especially considering how much time in the past he missed injuries
After the luckiest vs Pittunluckiest game of the year
Yep - since they got back from Sweden he leads the team in assists, is tied for second in points, and is now on a nine game point streak.I'll agree with that. He's been missing since Sweden...
Good to see a habs fan contributing to the best of their ability. GTFOH!
Sorry its only Jeremy Jacobs on the board not MLSEBruins gifted a PP in the last 5 mins of the game to get them to OT. How come that never happens for us? League just loves giving those guys opportunities.
