To think we were on the right track back when we played Washington in the playoffs. We had a bunch of guys who worked hard and had tons of heart and we got rid of them. Hyman, Kadri, Brown, Komarov.
What does Dubas do? He goes after another forward star in Tavares instead of signing a top Dman in free agency.
I'm convinced we would have made it far in the playoffs if we kept those guys and signed a couple of good D men

The glass half full take is that our seeding really doesn't matter. This team to choked to Columbus and Montreal, there isn't any "easy" matchup for us.

Ya I’m kinda losing interest in the tml. Used to look forward to every game and was full of anticipation of finally ending the cup drought. Now I just hope they make it a series against their 1st round opponent.

The good news is we should still be able to kick off an excellent rebuild by trading Matthews, Nylander, McCabe, Tanev, OEL, Carlo etc.. it sucks we can't turn marner into picks and good young players but at this point it won't make or break a rebuild.

I'm telling you man. It is not a lock yet. Montreal is only 10 points behind us now all of a sudden. A five game winning and losing streak from both sides is the only difference now.

10 points with 16 games left would be one of the most remarkable upsets.
