Marner signing for more than Matthews is a certainty. MLSE is scared of their own shadow, it took 10 years of abject failure just to convince them to commit to a rebuild. They will cling on to these "stars" and milk them for as long as possible.

I thought Laughton looked like one of the few playoff players today. All around the net. Winning one on one physical battled behind the net by overpowering his opponents.

I’ve always felt it was his back and that the only chance to fix it was with surgery but that would have meant a lost season this year.

When he went to Germany it was obvious that surgery wasn’t on the table as an option so it will be interesting to see what he and has camp plan on doing this summer to fix the issue.
