I just remembered that DUBAS exposed Jared Mcann (who has 5G + 3A = 8P in 9G by the way) in order to protect HOLL.

McCann did the exact same thing last year. Came out hot with a high shooting percentage, then fell back to earth and ended up being very underwhelming. Engvall had the same ES points rate as McCann last year. McCann was used in an offensive role. Engvall was used on a shutdown line.

We made the right choice.

Everyday I login here and see posts of people defending Dubas, Keefe, Shanny, the roster composition, the D core and I honestly think that I may be sane on an island of madness. Anybody looking at this roster, the way they play and think it's ok is an absolute plug.

There is 0 punishment for cycling in our end, screening our goalie, crashing into our goalie which leads to more goalie injuries, hitting our stars, cheap shots, etc etc just a bunch of millionaire pukes.

and i'm left to wonder where the ''insane'' depth and ''elite'' defense i heard all preseason

Agreed, Tavares is putting up some points but outside of the PP and net front, he does nothing. Hardly driving play at all or creating 5 on 5. Slow and getting killed in transition

First, I didn't say anything about his play. Second, you have no clue - absolutely none - regarding his contribution to the team so stop acting as if you do. His teammates love him, there has to be a reason for that. Did you ever consider that they see something in him and/or his play that you don't, or do you just assume that you know more than actual NHL players do?
